The Aldrich will be closed to the public May 26 through June 6 for installation of The Aldrich Decennial: I am what is around me.
The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum depends on the generosity of its donors and members to fulfill its mission—championing emerging and under-recognized artists. Your contribution supports working artists, creates inspirational educational opportunities for students and families, and provides essential resources to our outstanding staff. Thank you!
Exhibition
Whether it is a first solo museum exhibition or a career spanning survey, your fully tax-deductible gift to Aldrich exhibitions will impact the work of exceptional emerging and under-recognized artists. Your support commissions new work, provides fabrication costs, and makes all our exhibitions possible.
Education
Aldrich education programs allow visitors and students, many from under-resourced districts, to work directly with exhibiting artists and world-class educators to explore the themes, techniques, and materials of the work on view.
Annual Fund
Your fully tax-deductible gift provides critical operating support for The Aldrich’s innovative exhibitions, special events, and education programs.
Sculpture Garden
In 2024, The Aldrich celebrated the reopening of its re-imagined Sculpture Garden and campus. This new Aldrich provides artists with the unique opportunity to present their work both indoors and out and offers a free and accessible outdoor space for the public to enjoy contemporary art from dawn till dusk, 365 days a year.
Membership
Aldrich members provide essential support to our mission while enjoying special access to artists at exclusive exhibition previews, discounts on programs and in the Museum Store, and free admission to reciprocal museum partners. Click here to view specific membership levels and benefits.

Aldrich Gala is the most important fundraising event of the year for the Museum.
When The Aldrich was founded in 1964, the presentation of works in nature was a central part of the Museum’s earliest program. Works by artists including Anthony Caro, Alexander Liberman, Tony Smith, and Robert Grosvenor were displayed on the Museum’s campus year-round for visitors and the public to enjoy free of charge. Now, The Aldrich has united our entire campus by bringing the same level of thoughtful design outdoors, to our three-acre property.
Our gift “is an expression of our core values. And as an appreciative acknowledgement of overall contribution and excellence, it represents our commitment to provide important and necessary future financial assistance to The Aldrich and its programs.”
-Gary and Susie Singer

Members and friends, please join us to celebrate the opening of The Aldrich Decennial: I am what is around me before the exhibitions open to the public.
Beginning on opening day of The Aldrich Decennial, artist Tim Youd will undertake a live, durational retyping of Richard Yates’s Revolutionary Road on The Aldrich’s campus. Presented in dialogue with the exhibition’s focus on Connecticut artists, the project draws on the state’s rich literary history and Yates’s own ties to Connecticut, where the novel’s suburban landscape was famously realized.
Celebrate the close of the school year with an evening dedicated to you. Join your fellow educators for a night of creativity and relaxation.
