It is with great pleasure that we present this exhibition of Michael Mazur’s splendid illustrations for the Inferno. Dante’s classic has inspired more than a few masterful attempts to translate its poetry into visual images and so, because of the inevitable comparisons, an artist does not undertake the task easily. Mazur’s monoprints require no apology for their splendid invention, humanity and artistic accomplishment are evident in each image.
