As an artist, Ivan Chermayeff lends his extraordinary eye to the private medium of collage. Collage, as practiced by Chermayeff, is indebted to his professional adventures in graphic design. The found materials and printed objects in his work allude both to the world of print and to the peripatetic life of this global traveler. Equally, Chermayeff’s supreme command of color and form is evidenced in brilliantly arranged compositions.
